I have just returned from a wedding exhibition close to where I live in Newport Pagnell, at the MK Dons Stadium Double Tree Hotel. The exhibition was really well attended and we had a great time chatting to lots of brides-to-be and couples planning their weddings. Central Exhibitions will be holding more local wedding shows soon.

This wedding show was extra exciting for me because it was my first opportunity to take the new Mini Mimosa girls collection out to show brides and their bridesmaids. In the new flower girls headpiece and hair accessory collection are quite a variety of pieces; flowers crowns, animal ears floral headbands, bespoke coloured hair clips and these butterfly circlets.

The idea for the bridesmaids butterfly crowns came from working on another piece. I had created little hand cut satin butterflies to go on some floral bridesmaid hair clips.

Having cut several butterflies out ahead of adding them to the floral hair clips I had them laid out on my desk and thought they look lovely together, so I set about cutting some more and adding them to a wire circlet.

I was so pleased I had the idea and created a few samples because they were a real hit  with the little bridesmaids-to-be at the wedding show! There is something magical about butterflies, and paired with my bridesmaid tutu skirts these look so beautiful and whimsical.

For even more magic for your little flower girls I can add butterflies to the tulle bridesmaid skirts too!
